Subject: new budget request news-appeal for help update

Dear Colleagues,

First, I thank to colleagues already provided their pledge. My goal
is to drive the cost per person under $30. Unfortunately, even counting
on an accurate estimate that came from Dave Gleason, the uncertainly with
the copying makes this task very difficult. It is, however, clear that
the more pledges I get, the easier the task will be.

I urge all those who are on the border fence not to hesitate and to
contribute-we, as a department, need transparency with the budget issue.
I expect senior colleagues with proven record of leadership and untiring
service to the Department to lead the effort.
